Discussion & debate are wonderful things! However, so is “The Golden Rule” – treat others like you would like to be treated yourself. There will be times & topics that generate strong feelings…and I’m not always right (as Mom & my fiancee often remind me). Keep it civil – and you must identify yourself by at least your first name. If you wish to remain private, that is your option – put in a generic “screen name” to keep your privacy intact. Name-calling & mud-slinging will not be tolerated – this is my blog, not yours. Should you feel the need to vent at someone personally or in an extremely graphic manner, set up your own site.
Profanity, well, lets just say that I’ve been known to let a few choice words fly upon occasion – I’m no angel. However, because this is out in the public eye, lets keep it clean here. Don’t use language that you don’t want your Aunt Minnie to hear you say. Keep it clean, more or less.
Advertising – if I choose to let someone advertise on this site, it is because they are giving me money. Plain & simple – if you wish to advertise here, contact me. Leaving a plug &/or a link back to your product is uncool & I will delete it. Period. My playground, my rules! The focus of this site is to provide timely, useful information about real estate to consumers and professionals alike – it isn’t an internet billboard. Any product advertised here is carefully chosen and screened. If you have problems with any vendor featured here, shoot me an email – I don’t want to provide space for companies or products that aren’t delivering.
Editing – I reserve the right to correct/edit comments that have errors or links that don’t work. I will not change the meaning or intent of the comment. Free speech is a cool thing – and spirited discussion is even cooler. Sometimes a link will be missing something, and I’ll fix it for you. Maybe your argument is a good one, just needs a little cleaning up. Don’t get your knickers in a bunch if you’ve been edited…after all, you’re a guest here.
