Pie Allen (the red placemarker in the map below) was named in honor of John “Pie’’ Allen, who sold dried-apple pies to Cavalry and rail workers in the area and served as Mayor of Tucson twice. Many of the homes were designed by Tucson’s best known architect, Josias Joesler. Residents range from students to families to retired people.
The border of the neighborhood to the west is the eclectic and hip 4th Avenue. Here, you’ll find funky shops, great restaurants and bars and the historic trolley.

Ironhorse (the blue marker in the map above). This friendly neighborhood also benefits from being so close to 4th Avenue and downtown Tucson.
